May chang essential oil is a sweet citrus oil which reminds us of sherbet lemons. May chang adds a top note to fragrance blends that is similar to lemongrass. 

Also known by the botanical name litsea cubeba, may chang essential oil is a soothing remedy, often used for its hygienic properties – not just in home cleaning, but also in skincare. The essential oil is extracted extracted via steam distillation from the root and stem of the may chang plant which is native to Southern Asia.

May chang blends well with scents like clary sage, geranium, grapefruit, patchouli, vetiver, rosemary and ylang ylang. Perfect to use in our Hairy Jayne Home Brew recipes.
