Finding a genuinely fragrance free hair oil is harder than it should be. Most hair oils are scented, even the natural ones. Essential oils, even though they smell lovely and are 100% natural, they're still added fragrance. Sadly, botanical extracts can still trigger reactions in sensitive skin.
If your skin or scalp is sensitive, reactive, or prone to contact dermatitis, you need something truly fragrance free. Our Natural Beauty Oil was made for exactly this. It's 100% fragrance free — no added essential oils, definitely no parfum, no added scent of any kind. The only smell is a very faint, natural almond scent that comes from one of the ingredients – plum kernel oil. That's it.

What makes a hair oil safe for sensitive skin?
A few things to look for:
- No added fragrance — this includes essential oils, which have common allergens that must be listed at the end of the ingredients list (limonene, citronellol etc)
- Non-comedogenic or mineral oils — so it won't clog your pores
- Simple, plant-based ingredients — simple ingredients means fewer potential triggers
- No silicones or parabens — these can cause build-up and cause irritation over time

Why a hair oil that works on skin too is a big deal
Most hair oils aren't formulated with skin in mind. They can be heavy, greasy, pore-clogging, or loaded with fragrance. But if you're applying oil to your hair, it's inevitably going to touch your scalp, your neck, your hands, and probably your face at some point.
It’s also a big deal because it cuts down on products in your shelf. There is a massive cross-over of natural oils that are great for the hair and very good for the skin, so why not have just one oil (and bottle) for both. Great news for low maintenance people.

How to use a fragrance free hair oil
For dry or damaged hair: Apply a few drops to damp hair after shampooing, working through mid-lengths and ends. It seals moisture into the hair shaft — especially effective after our Treatment Conditioner, which is designed to be used together with the oil as a two-step moisture-lock routine.
For frizz and shine: Apply sparingly to dry hair to calm flyaways, add shine, and define waves. Start with 2–3 drops and build up — a little goes a long way.
Before shampooing: For delicate hair prone to breakage, apply from root to tip before washing to protect the cuticle. This is especially good for fine or colour-treated hair.
As a facial oil: Cleanse first, then apply 1–2 drops as the final step in your skincare routine. Allow it to absorb before applying SPF or makeup.
