Shampoo Concentrate | refillable + nourishing, for all hair types

Sadly this one just didn't do it for me. I loved that it was truly fragrance free, and I really love the sustainable glass jar, but I'm definitely glad I got the small jar to try. Used as directed and even tried tips from other reviews but it just didn't make my hair feel as nice, or work as well as the bars, it also didn't keep my hair clean for as long as the bars, so sadly this one is a pass for me. But your mileage may vary.

I wasn't sure if they were over-egging how concentrated this product is but it's absolutely amazing. I am finding that 2 washes takes less than a teaspoon of the shampoo. It's a lovely leather and leaves my hair feeling great.

If you are someone who suffers from an itchy scalp condition, who reacts to other haircare products and/or who just wants a shampoo with minimal ingredients that does an incredible job of effectively cleaning the hair and scalp, please give this shampoo concentrate a try. For reference, I have the fragrance-free version and currently use it with the Cream Conditioner (but also love the Treatment Conditioner!)

It took me some trial and error and a little time before I found a way of using this concentrate that not only gave me shiny, clean, healthy hair but that didn't irritate my scalp. To begin with, I used it as directed, applying the concentrate direct to the hairline in small amounts, massaging, rinsing etc but I did find it a little tricky just using pea-sized quantities and I also still noticed some itching after use. However, I didn't give up!

The method that works best for me and that results in absolutely NO irritation, itching etc, just clean, healthy, shiny hair is as follows: I take one of Jayne's brilliant aluminium pump bottles (available in the shop 😉 ) and decant my shampoo concentrate into one of these. I then take a separate 100ml bottle and every time I wash my hair, I squirt two pumps of concentrate into the empty bottle, fill it to the top with water, shake and apply the full bottle all over my scalp. I massage it in thoroughly, rinse and repeat with another two pumps. The result after around 2 months of using it this way is the healthiest, cleanest hair and the most comfortable scalp I have had in years. I can go longer between washes without my scalp getting oily or itchy and the natural auburn and blonde tones in my hair have even started to shine through where for years, my hair looked dull and unhealthy.

As I said earlier, it may take you some trial and error but don't be afraid to experiment a little with the concentrate. If one method doesn't work for you, perhaps try it another way and you may just find a holy grail product like I have. I have never had such a comfortable, happy scalp and my hair is looking better than it has in years. It is also easier to style which is an added bonus.

This shampoo is great! This is a repeat purchase. I love the way my hair feels so clean after use. I wash my hair every 1 - 2 weeks, and it doesn't seem to get so dirty in between times. A pea size amount goes a long way, so the concentrate lasts ages.
I have been exclusively purchasing hair products from hairy Jayne for over a decade and couldn't do without them. My hair feels more nourished, looks less frizzy and smells divine!

I’ve got fine hair and have always struggled to find a good shampoo, but this one really surprised me. It’s the best one I’ve ever used and means I can go longer between washes. A little goes a long way and it leaves my hair really soft and shiny.
